Harrahs TunicaThe sprawling and well-kept grounds of Harrahs Tunica include three luxury hotels, a 24-hour casino, seven restaurants, a full-service spa, a Hale Irwin-designed golf course, a sporting clays center, an rv park, first rate entertainment, and probably a lot more that we missed. Most of the resort's facilities are easily accessible via an efficient and friendly 24-hour shuttle system.LOCATION
Harrah's is accessible from Highway US-61. It is the closest casino to Memphis. Casino Center (Gold Strike, Horseshoe, Bally's, and Tunica Roadhouse)
are just a few miles southwest of Harrahs.
OWNERSHIP
Harrah's Tunica is owned by the Harrah's Entertainment corporation. The company's other Tunica properties are the Horseshoe and Tunica Roadhouse
(formerly the Sheraton Hotel & Casino).
As a result of ownership transfers and corporate shuffling, some of the Tunica properties currently or previously associated with Harrah's
have undergone name changes and rebranding. For example, this resort, which was built in 1996 and known as Grand Casino Tunica,
was originally owned by Grand Casinos, Inc. In 1998, it was acquired
by Park Place Entertainment, which was later renamed Caesars Entertainment before it was merged with Harrah's. The property currently named Resorts
Tunica and operated by Resorts International, was previously known as Harrahs Tunica.
Harrah's has three luxurious hotels to choose from: The Casino Tower is located next to the casino. The other two
hotels, The Veranda Hotel and the Terrace Hotel & Spa, are both located on resort property approximately one third of a mile from the casino.
There is an excellent free 24 hour shuttle that runs between the hotels and casino, so
staying at any of the hotels is almost equally convenient in terms of access to the casino.
On our recent visit, we stayed in the Terrace Hotel. The hotel's lobby is home to the
Java Grande coffee shop and bakery, as well as a liquor bar. The Bellissimo Spa is accessible
from the lobby, and the hotel has a lovely outdoor swimming pool.
The room was very attractive, spacious, and comfortable. The drapes, carpet, and bedspread were colored with light green, and the abundance of natural light
gave the room a bright and fresh feel. The room was well equipped with a fridge, iron and board,
hair dryer, coffee maker, full length mirror, make-up mirror, plus bottles of shampoo and lotion, and a shower cap.
Mid-South RV Park has 200 rv spaces, plus a lodge with television, convenience store, showers, pool, horseshoe and shuffleboard.
Table games and slot machines are found on the first floor. There are over 70 tables including black jack,
roulette, craps, baccarat, Carribean Stud, 3-card poker.
The second floor of the casino is home to the poker room, a gift shop, and more slot machines.
'37, features premium beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and fresh seafood. Located on the first floor (replaced LB's Steakhouse).
Paula Deen Buffet is located on the casino second floor. The buffet is modeled after the Food Network's star home and features food based
exclusively on her recipes.
Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill features live music Wed-Sat evenings. Serves American food, including Suothern-inspired fare.
Java Grande, located in the lobby of the Veranda and Terrace Hotels, sells bakery goods, home
baked bread, coffee, salads, and sandwiches.
Cottonwoods Clubhouse Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch with light fare and American entrees.
Food Court - Fuddruckers, Pizzeria Uno Express, and Quiznos. Dunkin Donuts is also located in the casino.

Bellissimo Spa & Salon, located in the Terrace Hotel, has all the latest treatments for your relaxation.
The Links at Cottonwoods, golf course designed by Hale Irwin.
Willows Sporting Clays Center enjoy the fast-growing sports of trap and skeet shooting.
Bars - Sphere Bar is a watering hole located just off the casino floor, Replays is a sports bar and cafe on the second floor.
