Take the tram ride over the Mississippi River from downtown
Memphis to discover the history and culture of the great river.
The museum houses fascinating exhibits tracing the history of the river from early settlement to the modern age including the emergence of the paddlewheelers plus various musical genres that have their roots in the lower Mississippi region. Outside, you'll have a great view of the Memphis skyline as you stroll along a replica of the river itself. The journey ends in a large pool representing the Gulf of Mexico, where paddle boat rentals are available. And don't miss the Memphis Belle WWII bomber exhibit at the north end of the park. |
